ой, что-то я лишнюю рюмочку вина выпила. но зато, ЗАТОООО, мне удалось увидеться с дядей, которого наконец-то отправили в отпуск. а то бы мы только на следующий нг увиделись (ну когда я доеду до Самары?)
в общем, через полчаса едем в аэропорт. не верится чота. не теряйте меня, на три недели Болгария станет моим вторым домом. надеюсь, конечно, там будет вайфай. если что, пишите в соцсети.

- This is my moment in history… no one has ever known anything about the Ukraine ( at least no one I’ve known ) until now. As a weird immigrant kid with a weird Ukrainian name, I will always identify with Pygmy. But I have never sodomized anyone in a Wal-Mart bathroom. That part is fiction. ( mostly )

Okay, long answer here. A writer friend, Doug Coupland, recently told me about medical studies that suggest the final developmental changes in the human brain occur around the age of 31. When asked, most people — for the rest of their lives, regardless of their actual age — will say they feel 31 years old. I’d written for several years, but at 31 I wrote ‘Fight Club’ and that age seemed to allow me the peace to sit and concentrate. A peace I didn’t have in my 20’s. My advice is to live a rich, interesting life, practice writing if you want, but don’t beat yourself to produce your best work until after the age of 31. Okay? Okay.

- I’d love to see ‘Lullaby’ done next, but it’s caught up in some messy legal-rights issues. With luck, I will go into production soon-ish.
